Saurabh's POV

"Naksh is your girlfriend?" mom asked.

We quickly regained ourselves standing straight.

"Mom it's not like that you just misunderstood the situation." I tried to explained her.

"Do I look like a fool to you? I saw everything with my own eyes." she said . Yuhaan pointed his two finger at his eyes then at me gesturing 'he saw it with his own eyes.' I glared at him.

"Mom I am telling you nothing is going between us." I again tried to explain.

"Oh really! Then what was that him being lovey-dovey with you?" she questioned.

"That..that"

I don't know what to speak. I can't even tell her that truth. Why my brain is not working today?

"Aun...Aunty.. act.....actually , YES, I was teaching him how to be romantic with your girlfriend." Naksh said. I nodded.

She raised her eyebrow at us and we smile sheepishly.

Suddenly in this tensed environment we heard voice of laughing. Jasmine and her darling were laughing. We glared at them. Are they enjoying this situation?

Mom also look in that direction and she gasped happily. "Oh my god Jasmine, when did you came?" she moved towards Jasmine.

I think she didn't noticed her because of our act or more specifically Naksh's act.

"Two days before aunty." Jasmine replied with a smile.

"What then why didn't you came to mansion? Are you staying somewhere else?" mom asked.

"Yes aunty." Jasmine replied hesitately.

"But why?" mom asked

Because of you all.

"That..... that aunty." Jasmine shuttered and looked at me.

"Mom, why are you interrogating her like she did some crime." I walked to her and said in Jasmine's defence.

"Why should I not questioned her? She is like my daughter. Instead of staying in our house she is staying elsewhere." mom replied.

To divert her mind, I said, "mom main aapko kisi se milvata hoon." With that I turned her attention from Jasmine to her darling. "Meet her."

"Who is she?"

"My bestie."

"Darling."

Jasmine and I said together.

Mom looked at me with shock. "Is she your darling?" mom asked.

I nodded but then immediately shook my head in no realising for what I nodded. But she is my mom. She quickly cooked her theories.

"Oh my god! She is your girlfriend!" She gasped. "She is so beautiful. What's your name child?" mom asked holding her shoulders gently.

"E...Elina." Darling replied awkwardly.

'At least now call by her name.' my sub conscious mind reminded me.

"But mom-"

"Oh my God, I have to tell this to everyone that Saurabh was not lying he has a girlfriend." mom beamed with happiness.

"Wait a second. Naksh, you were teaching Saurabh to be romantic with Elina?" she asked turning to Naksh and Naksh immediately nodded. This Fucker.

"Mom, it's -"

"Oh my God I have to tell everyone." saying this she give me my lunch box.

"It's impossible. Yeh ho hi nahi sakta." Yuhaan said.

Mom slapped his head. "kya nahin ho sakta? Tu chal yahan se. Let them spend their time together." with that she dragged Yuhaan with her.

I walked to my place and dropped on my seat. I run my hand in my hair.

"Hey why didn't you told her that I am not your girlfriend and why did you call me darling in first place?" Elina asked. I sighed.

"She didn't even gave me a chance to speak and about darling it just slip of my tongue but wait why did you nodded Naksh?" I asked Naksh.

"Agar main han nahin bolata to main gay ho jata." Naksh said in his defence.

"And my chance being with Jasmine would have reduced. She might think that I am gay and not interested in her and just doing timepass or playing with her by approaching her." Naksh whispered in my ear. I glared at him. He straighten up in his seat.

"Idiot. now mom will tell everyone. What can we do?" I asked being frustrated.

"Now there is only one way." Jasmine said and turned to Elina "Darling be his girlfriend."

"What! No way. I don't want to be his fake girlfriend." Elina said.

"Darling please" Jasmine pleaded.

"No Jasmine."

"But why? You already like Saurabh then why are you leaving such great opportunity?" Jasmine asked frustatedly.

I froze on my spot. What! Elina likes me. Naksh was also shocked and looked at me.

While Elina looked at Jasmine giving her a glare. Jasmine realising her blunder bit her tongue. "Sorry it just slip from mouth."

"Jasmine!!!!" Elina whisper yelled. And then she looked at me and quickly averted her eyes. Being embarrassed she left from there.

" Tesoro!!" Jasmine shouted. "Don't worry I will convince her." saying this Jasmine also left.

So she likes me!

Elina's POV

"Scusa tesoro, per favore perdonami. Mi è sfuggito di bocca." Jasmine said running across the sofa.

(Sorry darling please forgive me just slip from my mouth)

"Ti avevo detto di tenerlo segreto ma sei un traditore." saying this I run after her.

I came back to apartment from his office. Jasmine also came after me. As soon as she entered inside I marched towards her grabbing nearby pillow to hit her. How can she reveal about my crush to him.

"My Darling, tesoro." Jasmine came towards me holding my hand and throw the pillow snatching from hand somewhere in the room and made me sit on sofa.

"Tesoro, per favore calmati, le mie intenzioni non erano sbagliate" Jasmine explained.

"What? Darling." I nodded.

"You are my darling and I will call you that." Jasmine said hugging me . I huff.

"Jasmine-" I started but she interrupted me.

"No you answer me first. Why did you rejected to be his girlfriend?" Jasmine asked.

"Fake girlfriend to be precise." I corrected it.

"So what, you are getting a golden opportunity to be your crush's girlfriend but you, you declined it." Jasmine said. I sighed.

"Jasmine, I think you didn't understand clearly what he meant. After getting deal he will give me tagging me as a cheater which I am not. Thinking about this only my heart clenched. Jasmine think yourself in my situation. You get to be girlfriend of the person you like that to be fake, only to be left after he get what he want. Don't you feel liked being used and then thrown.

If the situation was different, if I didn't like him then I would have agreed. It wouldn't have affected much. But it's not like that. I like him.

Being with him as his gf that to be faked. He will act to love me infront of others that to for a short time and then leave me, it will just...just break my heart. I know it was a act from start but still it will hurt. I know I may sound selfish but I don't want to be his temporary, I want to be his permanent." I poured my heart out.

"Then why don't you try to make you his permanent?" Jasmine said.

"What?"

"Yes. Why don't you try to make him fall for you tesoro . You got a chance, make him fall in love with you in that span. So that in last he won't leave you instead always keep you with him." Jasmine said.

"But how can I? What if he got angry. You remember you told me about a girl who joined his office to impress him but he never paid attention to her. What if he also reject me?" I said.

"Because of fear of rejection you won't approached him! Elina you are my bestie, don't lose hope until you try. Bring that confidence back when you do your work. I want that confidant Elina. I know she can do it." Jasmine motivated.

"But Jasmine its not only fear of rejection. From the start it will be in his mind that I am his fake girlfriend who he brought only to get deal. So what's the chance that he will even looked at me with some affection. If he will that too will be a act." I said.

"Don't worry about that, I know if you try then there are 99% chances he may fall for you. You haven't seen what I have observed" Jasmine said with a mischievous grin. "And beside that I am with you, I will be your cupid."

"But-"

"Elina." She glared at me.

"Okay." I sighed.

"Yes that's my bestie. Let me inform Saurabh." saying this she took out her phone from her pocket and said, "you listened, I convinced her." Hearing her my eyes widened.

Was he on call since then? Jasmine I swear, if you weren't my bestie, I would have kill you.

"Yes now I will give her." saying this she forwarded her phone to me. What the fuck should I do now?

I hesitantly put phone near my ear and spoke in nervous voice "He.... hello?"

"Hi"

There was silence for a few second. I don't know about him but I was not able to speak because of embarrassment.

I heard a throat clear voice. "Jasmine told me that you agreed." He said.

Told? or you heard?

"So will you be my girlfriend darling?" he continued.

Again! Again that word 'Darling' did something to my poor heart. Why he have to say darling?

"I think... I need some time to think." I hesitantly said.

What the fuck are you saying Elina? Didn't you agreed just a minute ago? I closed my eyes in embarrassment. He must be thinking of me as a fool.

"Yeah, sure." he said.

"Okay then I will keep the call." I said not wanting to stretch the conversation or more that I was being embarrassed.

" Hmmm....Darling I mean Elina." I heard his call.

"Yes ?"

"If you want you can try, I won't mind that." saying this he cut the call.

I blinked several times looking at the phone. Does he mean what Jasmine had said. Aghhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now I really wish to dig a hole and hide in that.

Today is really a embarrassment day for me. Jasmine, è tutto a causa tua. !!!!!!
