Saurabh's POV

Currently, I was driving my car. Jasmine was sitting on passenger seat and darling I mean Elina at back seat.

"Drive towards AS apartment." Jasmine said.

"Why? I questioned her. .

"Because we are going to leave there." Jasmine replied.

"WHAT?" I exclaimed with shock. "Won't you stay at my home like always?" I asked her.

"No."

"But why ?" I asked confusion lines on my face. "Is it because of her" I pointed at da- Elina's direction. "Don't worry -"

"No, it's not like that." Jasmine said.

"Then?"

"Don't you remember that last time your family almost made me your to be bride." She said with a chuckle. " And I don't want it again."

Ohh ! How can I forget when she stayed at my house like always last year, my family thought we will make a good couple and started persuading her until I made them quite. Oh god how much embarassing was that!

"I am sorry. "

"It's not your fault." Jasmine said.

"Why does your family don't understand that you don't want to marry now? Why are they forcing you?" Jasmine questioned. I sighed.

"It's because of priest."

"Priest ?"

"Hmm."

I continued "Our ancestors, once asked the priest to suggest a way to keep our family happy and wealthy, as they were financial crisis at that time. Because of which their family problems also started. Then priest told them solution that if every young member marry before 30 then he will lead a peaceful martial life and grow in business and live a long life. If they don't then it can create problems like loss in business or their martial life get destroyed or their lifeline can also reduced. Since then this become tradition of Khurana family to marry before 30. And I am soon to be 29, so there forcing me since I don't have any girl in my life. They are worried about me. They don't want my life to get ruined." I smiled saying last sentence.

"You still believe in all this shit. Come on we have entered in 21st century." Jasmine said. "What if you marry after 30?" Jasmine questioned with curiosity.

"Do you remember my bade dadu?"

"Yeah. Isn't he the one who's wife cheated him with his business partner because of which he suffered loss in business and soon after a year he died in car accident being drunked ." Jasmine said.

"Yes he married at 35. Even he didn't believe that priest's words."I said with a smile.

Jasmine was stunned for a moment. She spoke after a min silence "Does the priest's words really come true?" she asked hesistantly.

"Maybe" I shrugged my shoulders.

"So now tell me should I marry after 30?" I asked her.

"I think you should listened to your family." she said nervous laugh.

I raised my eyebrow at her. "But didn't you said about modern thinking."

"That...Just can take risk of your career and life. Even if the possibility of it is nil, but I don't want to even think of anything happening to you like your bade dadu." she said.

"Same goes for my family." I said turning the steering.

Finally we arrive at AS apartment. I helped the girls to settle their things after checking for any sign of cameras in apartment especially in bathrooms.

Jasmine went to bathroom to freshened up after bidding me bye while darling walked with me upto the door.

"Thanks for help." she said.

"You don't need to thanks me. It's my duty to help my friend." I replied.

After that there was an awkward silence for a moment which I decided to break. "Okay then bye."

"Bye" she said.

And I left from there.

Last time when we meet she was hell nervous but now she seems confident. I went to my car and drove off back to mansion.

I was about to enter inside the mansion when a sudden push made me fall at the door.

Aghhh ! My butt.

"Who the hell-"

"Sorry, sorry, sorry bhaiya I didn't meant to-" Yuhaan tried to apologize.

"Yuhaan ke bacche!" came Lavanya's shout while running towards us.

"Sorry bhaiya." saying this he ran in another direction followed by Lavanya.

This fools . He didn't even lend me a hand.

I was about to get up when I saw helping hand. Without seeing its owner I got up holding it's hand.

"Thanks" I replied after getting up and looked towards the person only to get shock.

"Dadaji!"

"How are you my child?" He asked with a small smile.

"Fine. How about you?" I asked.

"I am also fine." he said. I nodded.

"How was your journey?" I asked nervously.

"By your's grace, it was wonderful. You made such a nice arrangements that I didn't faced any problem." he said with a chuckle. I gulped.

"Come inside, why are you standing outside." I nodded and directly headed towards my room. I don't want to face him.

I thought my grandfather will talk something at dining but the dinner went silent except Yuhaan and Lavanya's bickering.

Next morning,

I was sitting in my cabin looking at some files when a knock disturbed me.

"Come in."

The door opened and I looked up. I rolled my eyes looking at her.

"How are you?" Kashish asked.

"Fine untill you came." I replied not giving her attention.

"Saurabh-"

"Kashish didn't I already cleared my thoughts towards you?"

Why the hell she follows me? Did I forgot to mention that her dad is one of the shareholders. Many a times she visits my office in the name of work. She even did her internship here in order to get close to me but I failed her intentions. Tired of all this, I already told her mine feelings towards her. Why can't she stop following me then.

Ohh, how can I forget that she has mom's and grandfather's support.

She was again about to say something when someone knocked.

"Come in."

Pranay enter with worried expression. "Sir, there is a problem." I raised my eyebrow.

Fuck.

My grandfather can't this to me.

Pranay told me that there's a problem in signing the contract and when I asked him I came to know that my grandfather was behind all this. He fucking convinced one of the client to not to sign the contract for the project. I called him and he just told me to come home.

He know.. He knows how much this deal is important for me, for the company. This is my dream to get the project, this contract. Still he did that.

I was thinking all this in my car reached Khurana Mansion.

I entered his room and saw that along with my grandfather, my dad and uncle were also present. They were sitting on couch and I sat opposite to them

"Why did you do this grandpa? Even knowing that this is my dream project." I asked my grandfather who just sigh.

"See Saurabh, even I don't want to do this but you left me with no other option.

"Still you can't this to me."

"Oh really! Then what about you that you sent me to your dadi's parents house just to avoid the alliance." This was enough to shut me up.

Yes almost 3 months before when he came to know about Kashish and her liking towards me he almost fix my alliance with her. Almost as he asked me to date her. To escape this I called my late grandmother's parental home and asked them for helped to call grandfather their if they have are suffering from any problem. At first they refused but after my pleading and emotional blackmail they somehow agreed as I was and am their favourite. Later that day their call came.I don't know what they told him over call but that was enough for grandfather to go out of the town and I was saved from this alliance.

My grandfather made a promise to my grandmother while there alliance was fixed, that he will always look after her family as she came from financially poor background . So he is always ready to help them even after her death fulfilling his promise though they always hesitate.

"What? Saurabh was behind sending you out of town for there for 3 months? dad asked with suprise.

"Vaibhav that's not we came here to talk. Let's get to the point." Dad just nodded.

"Saurabh if you want his deal then you have to accept my condition."

" To accept one of your proposal right." he nodded. I just rolled my eyes.

"Dadaji, why can't you all understand? I asked frustatedly.

(Grandfather)

"Saurabh even you had to understand that we are doing this for you only. I scoffed.

"See we have Malhotra's proposal they are good-" dadaji was about to speak when I interrupted not listening to him. "Dadaji I don't want to date anyone not untill this project."

"So you will not accept my condition that means you don't want that deal." I run a hand on my face.

"Okay. I am listening your condition." I said

"Saurabh, I already told you that I have a proposal of Malhotra's. She is a nice girl to marry." My grandfather continued . Now who are the Malhotras. I even don't know them. I was thinking when a thought came in my mind.

" Don't tell me grandfather that you are telling me to do arrange marriage." I asked him with shocked expression. No way in the hell I am going to marry someone who I don't know.

"May be." He just shrugged his shoulders.

"What! That means I won't get the chance to date. No dadaji I already told you first I will date then only marry." I stated.

" So you can threaten the girl not to marry." He said. I gulped. I was thinking that only.

" Decide Saurabh this deal or refuse the proposal." Fuck nothing is more imp than this deal. Not even a girl.

"Listen Saurabh, arrange marriage is good. Even your uncle and I had arranged marriage." My dad said. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. "As far as I remember, last time I was told that you both had love marriage." I sarcastically asked them. Do I looked like a five year child to them.

"Ohh , that " my father chuckled . " Actually our family fixed our marriage. That time I don't even know your mother. After our alliance was fixed we dated to know each other and gradually we fell in love with each other. And so it became love marriage from arrange marriage " dad shrugged at the last sentence.

" And about me and Raghvi. She loved me in our college days. She always used to approach me and I always rejected her like you do with Kashish. Dad fixed my alliance and I was shocked seeing Raghvi as my fiancee. But keeping dad's choice respect I thought to give this marriage a chance and the result you can see, now we have happy married life." Chachu said. " Whoever dad choses is always best for us. " Uncle supported grandfather.

Dadaji you should have run a marriage bureau instead of business. I wanted to say this but I stopped myself. I don't want to get beaten by his stick .

" Son, you don't have anyone in your life nor you are accepting Kashish, so atleast give chance to dad's choice. I know she will be the best. Or you can give chance to Kashish like I gave to Raghvi." Chachu finished. But I was in my own thinking.

Nothing came in my mind as I was thinking of deal and Kashish no, never. I want to choose both - deal and refuse the proposal . I don't know what came into my mind listening uncle's first sentence ' you don't have anyone in your life ' that I immediately stood and replied.

"I can't , I already have a girlfriend."
